Ever seen one of these being worn? I haven't, nor do I see what purpose it would serve... I'd pass on this questionable item...

    Hello Glenn,
As far as I know, these armbands were worn by civilian employees of the SS

Hello, I'm sorry, but this seems to me to be repro!
I find it very artificially washed. I do not like!

    Hello,
    This armband probably existed...

On February 15, 1941, the Waffen-SS introduced this badge in the form of an armband. This served to identify members of the Waffen SS. These were non-ethnic German civilians who, for example, were in the service of the Waffen SS as carters or drivers.

The armband was worn on the left upper arm."

    Andy,

Here is a link to another similar armband but the printing is not the same. I would remain very skeptical of this being original without period photos or other provenance. Printed armbands and other materials are some of the easiest items to fake and reproduce..

As far as I know there was a version of an SS armband worn by civilians doing labor but this armband was a yellow version with machine woven lettering.
