Ca be first German supplies for Austrian?

Hi, I could purchase this helmet, but, as great experts as you are, I would like your evaluation. I already know that the interior is a reproduction, but I'm interested in a simple evaluation of the metal shell and especially the color. Could this be one of the first German supplies for Austrian heer?

Hello Partisan,

It’s an original size 66/68 M16 shell. Do you happen to know who the manufacturer is?

The paint certainly looks like a shade of isonzo brown, but hard to gain a true appreciation of the age as the photos are blurred when enlarged. I’m not really liking the patina to the paint as seen above but clearer photos (and not in shadow) may prove otherwise.
