I picture a situation where by the German got their Sgt. and they not only got him but got close and pumped extra rounds into the body. Un needed but probably made them feel better.

I agree mate , i think something along those lines has accured but as to what detail we will probaly never know.I dont know if you have read the book "To Conquer Hell "The Meuse Argone 1918 , but its a fantastic read into the hell that went on there more so for the American soldier , it gives an insight on how these types of incidents could occure,great read if your into ww1 battles , Cheers Raymond
