WW1 German M-17 Camouflaged Helmet

Hello. Up for auction are several WW1 German M-17 Camouflaged Steel Combat Helmets. I will show two of them in different threads. I don't have such a helmet in my collection yet.
I looked at the topics about such helmets in the forum, but they all have different patterns, have no emblems, and I cannot judge whether these helmets are not manipulated. Some time ago I already bought a reworked M35 helmet. This helmet is described as having the markings "BF64" and the markings on the dome are not legible. it is presented as a late collection of Gordon Anderson. I asked the seller for additional photos of the markings, but I have no answer. This is usually a red flag. Please give an opinion.

I like both of the camos you posted today, and although the other one is in better shape I prefer this one. I like the colors, and the 6 piece liner is interesying. Just my opinion. Jim G.

Looks good to me. Paint, patina and liner all look good. As far as camos, there was a design that was specified in the July 1918 directive handed down by Ludendorff, however you will find that there are many designs and interpretations that are well outside what was set down.

Hello. The helmet has been won and delivered. Unfortunately, I could not win the other helmet. There is an inscription on the inside that I cannot read. It may also have been done by the previous owner. Here are some more pictures.

Perfectly untouched which is just how you want them. Congratulations! Looks like the first word could be the name “Hans”? You might have better luck reading it in the daylight. Technically, this one is an M16 shell with the 1917 steel liner band that replaced the earlier model due to a shortage of leather.
