I take it that the shell is a reproduction then. I was sure that the decals were fake, but was not sure about the shell. Sorry I am not very knowledgeable in ww2 german helmets.

Yes, repro from top to bottom.

Yes the shell is a repro, a chinese one, the most obvious giveaway being the shape of the airvents...
You'll learn, no problem, the fact that you're a member here shows that you want to learn...it's a good start

Sadly, helmets like this will end up being museum exhibits in years to come, and the general public will "Ooh & Ahh" at them, never doubting their originality .......sigh

Thank you for the info about the vents, I mostly have WW1 helmets in my Collection. And only 1 ww2 shell(barnfind). Attachment 1514777
