Hello all, I received this camo cover as a gift from a friend the other day; I've never studied these so am not sure of its authenticity. I was hoping to get some information and opinions on it and can upload better pictures if needed. Any and all opinions or comments are welcome and appreciated as always

Likely made from a zeltbahn, originals have a winter white side for reversibility.
I have one like the one posted also.

Agree with Ralph. Not an issued piece as far as I am aware.

That's where it gets sticky. Field made during the war or post war from the millions of left over Zeltbahn's?

I've always wanted a Heer cover.

Here is a factory made HEER cover. As others have said yours may have been War time field made or could be post war made with original zeltbahn cloth. Virtually impossible to tell without bullet proof vet provenance, but well made ones like yours certainly display well. Jim G.

Yup...That's what I want Jim. Just like the one you posted. I'd flip it ever few months and either paired it up with my SS cover or my Winter White Wash helmet

And agree. As a gift it will display very very well regardless!

Here's another with original material that failed the "Mo"inspection test. Plus over-locking wasn't around in the WW2 period

So original material but post-war made? Or perhaps a field made one?
