Good find but do not overclean it , once the cleaning is too visible it will detract from the look.
Looks fine how it is now. Do not use leather products.

I wouldnt do anymore, it looks great, what did you use, oxalic acid ?

yes oxalic very slightly with a sponge but without soaking... just a wipe. that's why the rust is still a little present...
