Looks to me to be a decaled up post war border guard helmet. The cotter pins holding the liner in place look way too big for a wartime helmet , vent holes look like they are sealed and the chinstrap I don't believe is a wartime variant.
The decals are for a polizei helmet, very desirable helmet when you find a real one, but this one looks like a post war helmet with repro decals mocked up to resemble a wartime helmet

Polizei decals is bad, too wide and the eagles wings look like they are protruding outside the sheild....never seen that before!!!!!

Nothing WW2 about it!!!! It's a good example of a put together post war fake!!!!

I am sorry to say this, but those more knowledgeable than me are not giving any detail in their answers. It fine to say it's "dodgy" or "not good"

How about using your knowledge and telling the poor bloke why......
