Chinstrap - Fake or A-OK?

Good eve, all. After some helpful members identified a reproduction chinstrap on one of my otherwise good helmets, I went digging for an authentic example to replace it. I took LOTS of pics of this new one both with and without flash so that maybe some helpful soul could better judge the leather. So what do you think - do I need to continue the hunt, or does this one have potential? Some notes:

• There is no date, RBNr or maker stamp on this one that I could find

• I don't detect any leather smell on this strap (or any smell)

• The leather on the buckle portion is softer and more pliable than the long portion - I don't know if that's a concern

• Clicking on a pic should enlarge it

I can spot a bad fake with the best of them. I’m not into TR helmets anymore so I’m rusty but it looks good to me. Wait for others to chime in.

Thanks, Marty! I appreciate the input. I've been fooled a couple of times by convincing repro straps, so I still don't fully trust myself just yet! I'll wait to see what others have to say as well before I pop it on the lid.
