Ex - Heer Camofulage used by the Norwegians?
Hello Forum,
There is this quiet interesting Helmets for sale, its a whole bunch of very similar painted helmets. The seller says its a Heer Camouflage, reused by the Norwegians, just with added Norwegian Decals.
I find the theory quiet interesting, it is somewhat supported, by the Heer Decal aswell as the original grey, textured paint still under the overpaint.
The Liner is original, unaltered german aswell, with the original split -pins still in place.
What do you think about it? Any Opinions and comments well appreciated!
Regards,
Adravor

"Normally" they were stripped, repainted, liners dyed etc ( as we all know ) but it is possible that if there was no need to strip and repaint, then just decal addition may have sufficed?

As noted these were stripped of German paint/decals and painted and overpainted. Sometimes Norwegian decals reapplied over successive paint coats, which is what you have here. They would not just stick Norwegian decals over a wartime camouflaged helmet.

They aren’t stripped. That’s the point. The paint underneath is not Norwegian. The decal ain’t Norwegian, the liner is still inside, unbent German split pins. Neither of them is a reissued German liner either, both original.
