F(?)tb-44 Chinstrap from helmet, original or fake?

As my knowledge about german WW2 helmets is somewhat limited and insufficient, i would be interested to find out opinions of others about this particular chinstrap that has been listed on sale. Is it original or fake? If fake- then what would be the the signs?

I would not pay top dollar for it , the stamp is not what it should be. Where's the f ?
The buckle is different than the ones I trust of this maker.

Thank You for the opinion, i was wondering about the "f" letter itself because it looked more like "t", but i was not sure- if that was some defect while the chinstrap was marked during the wartime. Also thanks for sharing the "German Helmet Vault" page, very informative- will definately use it to learn and gain more knowledge about the subject.
