Just got this one in today! A dark Blue M40 beaded helmet I know these are fairly common helmets and I know some say wait for a mint one but the bad condition of the wrinkled metal is what drove me to buy it lol. I just really like the condition of this helmet! I’ve studied these lately and to me even if they where civil issued they probably still saw combat so to me it is a combat helmet even though if a “civil” helmet but that is just my opinion. You can also see the late war Quist sloppy paint runs around the Bead and also on other places on the helmet to me this helmet just had a lot of character haha.! Any opinions are welcomed thank you guys!

That's a pretty shoddy lid but it has character.

I do like It! I'll bet some poor old guy or young kid in the Volkssturm would not have hesitated to use it in when thrown into combat.

Interesting example. You did good with that one , definitely a later war one with that cloth liner.
