Pretty nice helmet,decent decal,what year would this have been produced any idea?Should have wiped off the dust but you get the idea.

It's an M40 so production would be roughly between 1940 to late 42. ET helmet Lot #'s are consistent (low to high) so this would be dated as 1941

You can look at the liner band for a date but I don't think it is all that important to be digging and maybe bending the liner band.

Liner and chin strap may have been treated but really can't tell based on these photos.

Appears to be a very nice helmet! Honest used but not too abused combat lid. Congratulations! If you get tired of it...I have shelf space...LoL

Frank has a similar one in his lot # database that is an SS.
