German Heer M35 Helmet

I would like to get a second hand opinion on the decal on this helmet.
To me it almost looks like it's been added on post war

Overall looks like a nice M35 to me.I wouldn't want to comment on the decal wait for the experts opinions.

Hi, look at the way the "edge's" of the decal sit on the paint work, that is a good period decal no question, without looking at the finer details. I am guessing that it is a small sized lid though? All in all, a good piece at the right price. Leon.

Almost looks like a navy decal beneath the heer decal. But can't be due to it being an NS. Think just banged up a bit. That is a small one...NS 60 ?

Hi David, looks like a toned HEER decal showing through to me, but as you point out, I to feel that this one has just been banged about so much that it was simply over decalled quite early in it's life. The later decal not having lacquer applied to it. Leon.
