German Helmet = any ideas what this is?

it looks like a chechen fire helmet ,thy use to take m42 s and reissue them with some new liner and paited black

I've attached a picture of the Czechoslovak civilian defence wearing m42 during an exercise.

A similar Czech helmet (an original German m42, with the czech reissue black paint apparently removed), with a czech reissue civil liner similar to the one in your piece, and what appear to be German split pins rather than the czech round top split pins, just sold on ebay for $86.01. Jim G.
