Just got this today. Guy said his dad brought this back looks ok but did not pay alot chin strap missing has some home made string on it has ink stamp in dome of helmet the liner is good real or fake thanks guys stay healthy have a good weekend

Yes the fabric is old. And color matches its homemade or a field repair rest is ok I need a time period chin strap thanks

The helmet appears to be original. Of course it's "real". Even fakes are "real" if you can hold them in your hand.

The improvised chin strap reminds me of a Luftwaffe breadbag strap. Look at some and compare. I'm too lazy to do that for you, but off the top of my head it resembles one.

How about that.color of chin strap is same fabric well made to.well least it's original piece iam satisfied INK STAMP in dome is interising .thanks gentleman out there stay healthy

Nice helmet , I would keep the improvised chinstrap on the helmet.
