Helmet with Raised letters and Numbers I.D. ???

Hello Folks,

I have quite a few Helmet Lids in my collection, none have Raised numbers and Letters,,,, Example NS 64 ET 66 etc .. all these have been made in the Foundry by a Punch and hammer. Has anyone seen Raised letters and Numbers? I have seen a few, one such was a Q64, very much raised I think?
Am I wrong? Is it possible that Q prefix ( Foundry ) was raised? Or is it an allusion that appear raised in some photos? Thanks

It is a trick of the eye. As Doug says, all are stamped.........
