Here is another aluminum parade helmet, a double decal Heer this time. I refer to this style shell as a "Rommel" parade helmet because there are several pictures of Rommel inspecting the West Wall and at state functions wearing this style helmet. It is identical in construction to the Luftwaffe example I posted a few weeks ago, albeit a slightly bigger size, with the same offset/misplaced vents and liner rivets, and the same style civic liner. The chinstrap remnants don't have any of the hardware but the strap probably had a carbine clip originally. It is certainly not as well preserved as the Luft, but does make a good bookend on the shelf. Hope you like it. Jim G.
