Late war M42 camo helmets painted with fingers or cloth pictures
Hi guys have heard in the past that at the very late stages of the war when materials paint were very scarce so soldiers used whatever means they disposed from such as using their own fingers or with a cloth and would just create their own improvised camo. When the different colour paints were applied they sort of spread them all over with finger cloth or other primite tool and they somehow made those colours mixed between each other and interacted while all paints were still fresh so somehow that affected the colour final pantene or tone and made it more clear to all colour tones than the standards green yellows patterns. Have also heard that these applied more or less to lot number clk above 3100 approx till 4000. My question is that if any of you guys have pictures of examples of these helmets painted with finger or cloth. Since definetely if there are any they are really scarce since I have been unable to find one

Soldiers throughout the war would use all means necessary and would apply paint in any way convenient. But most used was brush and spraypaint. Other means certainly like rags but in rare instances.
That mid to late war M42 ckl’s were painted en masse in a certain way is a fantasy story.

Hi Frank many thanks for your comments and for clarifying this for me. No wander why as you say since they used this means like fingers with rags in rare instances it is very rare to find results of these but I am by all means glad that they existed
