It's a rear stamped example. Sized 64 but I can't make out the maker.

What I see .i used a copper penny and oil has some light rust .Q64 .with another number under it
I would like to see clearer photos of the Makers Mark.
Q M42's are exceedingly rare, as Q only switched to making the M42 at the very end of the war.
That said, the few Q M42's that have been observed all have a Lot number (the code under the maker mark) with the "DN" prefix in front of a 3 digit number (e.g. DN546). This helmet only appears to have a 4 digit Lot #. Oddly the last 3 digits appear to be "546" similar to the example in the link below.

Iam going to have use some fine sand paper.the stamping are light .not deep .like earlier helmets can read them easy.has alot of original paint left .hang on clean area harder thank you
