    Hey guys, I just got the helmet in the mail today and I thought I would post some pictures of it. Its the same M40 that I asked for opinions on earlier this week.

    I appreciate all the help from you guys in authenticating it

    Its my first complete untouched helmet and I Cant wait to get more!

    Not really what I would call a "late War" piece, but on my cell phone it looks like a really nice ND M40! Jim G.

    Thanks, yeah id guess its a 43 or 44 dated helmet. So its more of a mid war piece

    The lot number is DN506 if that tells you anything

    Other helmets in that lot # range have 43 dated liners...but this is not an exact science nor is it really important. You have a nice solid helmet that is a great representative example of what you would expect to see on the battlefield!
