Leather looks really nice to me. Do you wanna post the whole helmet? It’s helpful to see the whole picture. Are the pins unmessed with inside ? (Not bent or wavy)

    Hello

    Thanks for your reply

Here are 2 other pictures but not sure this liner was born with the helmet due to quite heavy rust inside.

would probably be more a mle 42 liner?

The liner looks a bit better than the outside but it still could be a match IMO. The liner pins inside will tell the real tale. Have the seller send you some pictures. Tell them what they are or send a picture of an example of the inside pins. Had a situation recently with a man on the phone who said "Yup they are all there all good." It was not the case when it arrived unfortunately. He did not know what I was referring to.

•••••I have seen M42 liners welded w seperate pieces of leather. M40s? not so much. See what others say.

The inside looks too pitted to me to have this kind of liner , also the pinheads do not seem to have the same patina.
For me it is a replaced liner.

    Hello

Thanks very much for your answers. The seller confirm it is a rebuilt helmet with a mle 42 liner. Now it is clear!

    Thanks again

There is no such things as 42 model liner. They are all called M31 liner.
