Luftschutz helmets 'attic/barn finds'

Hi All,

Two luftschutz helmets (a 2 piece gladiator & an M34) were found in an old barn, at a German town Eibenstock - near the Czech border.
The M38 is around size 66 (inner liner size marking is hard to see, I think it's a "58") - the M34 is size 64.

Would be nice to get the horrible white paint off them. Nice finds, lots were re-used after the war.

Maybe the two helmets belonged to the same individual?!?!

Yes, both were hand painted by the same hand. I had to track down one of the helmets, because it was sold to someone else - but thankfully I mananged to buy it from that owner.
I found some long blonde hair in the M34.

They were painted by a right hander.
