A little more info. On the interior of the helmet there is two manufacturing stamps which read 1902, ET66. If this is in fact authentic, what would a fair offer be?
Much better pictures are required , especially of decal and strap. From pictures "available" it has a good shot. If all checks out $500 plus easily for a M42 ET66 SD Luft with a decent chinstrap. There is a hint of additional green paint, but these pictures really are lacking.
Thanks relicz. I'll try and get the seller to send me some more photos.
Hello. If you can, go to the seller and request to take your own pics. That way you can look at it, touch it, smell it, etc. there two pics are not enough to make an accurate authentication. Need all around pics, close ups of the decal and both sides of chin strap. As was stated, what we can see shows promise, but can't give a definitive thumbs up or down. Check out some other helmets threads to see what exactly to take pics of. Good luck!
Decal could possibly be real..... still need closer pictures
Nothing more to add that hasn't already been said.
May be ok, but can't really give a real opinion with these pics.
Brad.
The liner and paint are good. When taking pictures of the chinstrap, get a close up of the stitching on the buckle side.
