M18 Transitional Authentication

I have the chance to buy this and as the decal is worn I’m having a tough time judging it, can anyone authenticate it?

Looks like an original re-issued M18. Paint, and liner all look original to the helmet.

Unfortunately not a lot of detail left on the Heer decal but fair to assume it’s most likely also original to the shell based on what can be seen.

Personally, I would look for a better example, however if you are on a budget and simply want an example of a TR reissued M18, then you might like to try bargaining with the seller based on the poor condition of the decal and dry liner. There are certainly other examples of this type of helmet in this configuration out there to be found.

Not seeing any red flags either. As said, not much left of the decal with these photos to really draw a firm conclusion.

Looks good , but with the decal that damaged it should be very cheap.

He’s asking $500, I’m thinking I may try to wait and talk him down a bit.

Considering the prices at the moment, i would indeed try to talk him a bit down. Its still a pretty nice helmet in my Opinion.
