Hello guys I would like to introduce this helmet to you at the start of the year ..... it is an M 18 manufacturer W. = Herm. Weissenburger & Co., Stuttgart-Canstatt ..... size 64 .... an early Schubert M31 inner lining was built in by the hollow head rivets ... a leather label is sewn on which the name of the carrier is written and "Sonderabteilung V ".... to special departments came soldiers who let themselves get into debt there were" penal departments ".... What is special about the helmet he had chin strap fastening that was closed with rivets at this point is untypical for a German M18 more likely to be found on an Austrian M17 there ... maybe a series of tests .... Another rare and very interesting stahlhelm Dirk! I really like the patina on this one. Lovely paint brushstrokes and the liner label and details all add up to make this a very nice example.
