Based on the condition of the decals, it's kind of hard to determine if they are real or not. The rest of the helmet look OK though.

Those are plugs that were put in to fill the holes when the "comb" was removed.

The stahl helm looks fine, but the shade of red on the swastika decal and the apparent bleeding out of the other is a query for me. The real experts will opine further.
The Comb's Purpose is to act as a Tile Breaker, protecting the Fireman from falling Ceramic Roof Tiles used extensively in Europe...Many were removed during Wartime Scrap-Metal Drives and Postwar Reissue...
