I can buy this m35 helmet shell, but I don't know if the decals are good, and can it be seen from the shine that it is an early one?
hope someone can help me

Shell is all good but someone has clear coated it with lacquer or enamel. Good intent, but it has lost some collector value because of it....
Has some relic like qualities to it. Namely the heavy pitting on the vent grommet.
Interesting as I've never ver seen someone varnish a relic helmet.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them
"Don't tell me these are investments if you never intend to sell anything" (Quote: Wife)
The battle damage also does not look real to me. Could be just a coating of oil.
John
thank you Danmark
I really thought it would be an early apple green, but now I think you're absolutely right
greetings Ulke
thank you MAP
It indeed has a lot of pitting, I have also found a few M35s but in worse condition than this one, often the popped rings are away from the ventilation holes, but this one indeed has a relic appearance
thank you John
It looks like it has had a ricochet or something like that above the Heer decal
greetings Ulke
Ulke, what is a ricochet ? Thanks.
if, for example, a bullet or shrapnel does not pass through the projectile
Greetings
Noun:
the motion of an object or a projectile in rebounding or deflecting from a surface one or more times as a result of a glancing blow.
verb (used without object),ric·o·cheted [rik-uh-sheyd, rik-uh-sheyd], ric·o·chet·ing [rik-uh-shey-ing, rik-uh-shey-ing] or (especially British) ric·o·chet·ted [rik-uh-shet-id], ric·o·chet·ting [rik-uh-shet-ing].
to move by rebounding or deflecting from a surface, as a projectile.
In this case the bullet glanced off or was deflected off the surface of the helmet.
