It appears decals have been liberated from a period over paint (carelessly, I might add), something that is frowned upon by the collecting community.

Hi, if you do not mind "dug out" decals then this helmet is fine, but like John, I personally avoid them as they show clearly that the helmet has been tampered with post war. Now, if a helmet had the decals painted around, that's another thing, they look great! Leon.
Exactly! This one would not be for me-the decals are far too obviously uncovered post war. Unattractive.

It certainly all has to be balanced with preference, finances, & availability. I have a very meager collection so I find this helmet interesting.
