I would say Heer and not KM.
Liner and chinstrap look ok from what I can see, but the pics are very small.
I would really need better photos to make a definite call, especially a close up of the decal.
Brad.
From the pictures posted, it is a M40 and looks to be small size. Likely Quist or NS. You Need to post a decal close up if you want accurate opinions.

John
Hi,the helmet itself appears to be a good solid original M40 from these pictures but I also think that this is a toned heer decal and not kriegsmarine. If you can get some sharper close-ups we will be able to tell for sure! Leon.
Wow, I love this one. Probably a Heer, as said above
I agree, it's Heer . As said, close pics will be needed for 100% conclusion. Also, it's a 1940 model instead of the 1935 one, as also was mentioned. It just has the fatter vent variation.
Dean
Good helmet from what I can see.But this is a Heer decal.
chris
I'm agree with all, looks like heer, but a great M40 anyway!
Well good news and then bad. The good news is it is a good Heer, the bad is it's another Pawel. Aaargh.
Thank you for your answer. I live in Poland (EU) now. I lived in Memphis for the last 2 years but I already got back home to Poland. I have an interest in WW2 history for a long time. From time to time i take my metal detector and detect places of historical interest and local battlefields. I am sending the photos of the helmet.
I have other militaria, i am looking for someone i could cooperate for a long time.
Sincerely,
Pawel
