Paint, shell and liner seem good to me, but the decal is hard to judged in this scrubbed state. I tend to it being Original, as everything else looks good tho.

Thank you!
Ok, for what it worth..there is an opinion that this helmet was washed from later applied paint. Does it look like this in any way?

I could see something like that .... in the wider shots it looks very dark almost black so maybe the post war paint job affected the original factory finish in this way. Also the decal being scrubbed points to that too

I like the look of it.
I so far don't see a reason for it to have had a post war paintjob that was removed.
It may have been cleaned of a whitewash or something resulting in it looking so scrubbed, but that is hard to tell.
Or maybe it was just extensively cleaned when found for all I know.
The decal does look a bit funny though but I think it might be fine.

I agree with Adravor. Too bad most detail has been abraded from the decal but I think it's probably still good.

Scrubbed to me. I see no evidence of any remaining white wash. Typically there are bits and pieces remaining.

Saved from a post war paint job but decal spoiled in the process. Hard to avoid ....
