For me it is just the nice human quirks of a misplaced decal, misaligned rear stitching and a pomade stain free liner. Fairly unique in an otherwise rigid helmet standards and useage.......

Frank, I almost fell out of my chair when i clicked on the thread and recognized the OP, then I saw the thread started in 2008. Never communicated with Stale directly but I recognized him as a decent man, and a knowledgeable collector. A shame he left us at such a young age. Jim G.
That is a wonderful helmet. It's almost like time froze in 1945 and it hasn't aged a bit since.
Yes SweSa passed away recently unfortunately.
As for the helmet i am not sure is 100% fine;
there is a possibility that it's a late Q rear marked (5 th picture ...difficult to make it out but looks like there is -maybe- a marking above the lot nr);
it raises questions whether the decal has been applied post even a bit by the look of it.

Interesting thread gents - it would be good to see a close up of the inside skirt, but i suppose that will not be possible now.
