The decal looks really nice, however its trying to be a ET Bigfoot, on a Quist lid?? and for a bigfoot, the beak is not right
Something doesn't sit well with me, I could be wrong, but I don't like the way its chipped on the right hand side, also the way its crinkled up

Ty,
I'm with JMB. The helmet looks fantastic but i'm concerned of the chip on the decal without any paint lose. The wrinkling of the decal almost makes me feel that the it was applied post war and shrunk due to improper application.
Of course this is just my opinion.
regards, Ty
I dont have good feelings either , im by no means an expert mate but just doesnt do it for me , cheers Raymond
I agree with the majority here,
There is no way a decal applied wartime would shrink and chip away like that. They alway's had a clear laquer applied over the top which prevented this. That is the reason why they are still there even after being buried for 60+ year's. Some do come away later possibly because some twit has cleaned off the laquer but that is pretty rare
Tom
Phil i have seen un-applied SS decals before but i think only twice in 20+ years of collecting. The last one i saw was about 10 years ago and at that time the decal was being sold for $200 usd. Can you imagine what they would want for it now?
regards, Tyrone (Ty)
I don't think that someone has a Qwist big foot decal. IMO it's a very normal helmet with original decal. Sometimes the bulbs with air after the decal apllied caused the decal in the future, there a lot seen , which has been damaged. Nice untouched helmet IMO
