Re: M40 SD Wehrmacht shell...real/fake??
Hi. It is not impossible for a wartime helmet not to have any markings on it, but it is unusual. It appears what you have there is a ground dug helmet that has been crudely painted. at 75 Euros, i would save my money. It will be nothing more than it already is

Re: M40 SD Wehrmacht shell...real/fake??
Hi mate , i agree with John , its a ground dug shell ,i would say original, no markings probaly eaten away by rust , pins look like they were added , it looks to me it may have been painted with some sort of rust converter , if you like the ground dug stuff go for it , but if you look around you could find one with the remains of a decal or some battle damage for same money or less , there are plenty out there , 75 euro for me is a bit steep for a plian shell that has been messed with , just my thoughts mate cheers Raymond

The helmet is a piece of crap lad. I wouldn't give you a euro for a dozen just like it.
Save your money and invest in a helmet that is in good shape. The helmet shown is worth scrap steel no more.

Re: M40 SD Wehrmacht shell...real/fake??
Thanks Steve, for your hummble opinion :P
But i have to say i did obtain this helmet,
Traded it for a piece of crap HJ knife (very very very bad copy)
So all in all it cost me about 3 or 4 euro's...
i know...its a pretty bad helmet...but come on for less than 5 euro's???
