    Hello forum,

    i need a little help please !

What do you think about this M42 EF66 helmet ?

It´s marked at right front side of helmet not in the back.

    LotNr. is D436 or D456

The chinstrap is marked 0/0750/0100 without manufacturer.

The liner is marked with a small unreadable RbNr. and above with 59 3-44
    Marked outside with 58.

Is the liner original and belongs to this helmet or is it maybe replacrd sometimes?

I could get this helmet but i´am not sure if everything is ok.

    Thank you very much

Don't bet your money on my opinion, but I think it looks OK. Wait for someone smarter than me to be sure.

Helmet itself looks okay but I'd bet the liner is a post war replacement. A March 1944 dated liner would not normally be found in a sgl decal Heer helmet. It looks a bit too nice or unused for that shell as well.
Also, the rear rivet is funky - like it is missing the cap/cover to the rivet or something.

    Cheers,
    Terry

Hi , both the shell and the liner are nice originals although I doubt they began life together, as has been said already been said , the date on the liner is not consistent with a decal being on the helmet. Leon.

Original helmet and parts but I would agree a put together helmet. Would not be bad to have if the price is right.....if the price is right. Marty
