M42 NS64 strange repaint

Hello
I have question about paint. Under paint i see white spots and many scratches and some spots with sand camo.
This repaint make me dizzy looks for me bit strange.

A nice well used twice named M42 helmet.

I’m not seeing any issues with it. The small areas of white that you refer to suggest this one may have had a white wash applied at some point prior to receiving another repaint. Normally we see more of the wash left around the pins and vents but as it was painted over this would be largely covered up.

Having said that the white residue could possibly be storage related. A few more pics without the glare would be good.

I’d like to see a shot of the decal area on the left. Can you see any lot numbers or factory stampings in the rear?

There's a sand cammo residue there as well - can you make out any of the letters in the scratchings on the last photo?
Maybe done by the veteran who captured it?

ND M42 Made by cKL, size 62. It looks like Feldgrau in some lighting, but indoors it just looks like Pea Green for some odd reason. There is a little bit of texture to it.
