M42 - post-war Czechoslovak reissue or late war ?

Hi,

I found this M42 and I am interested in opinions of others. Is it post-war Czechoslovak reissue (black paint) with wartime liner ring and post-war leather (or late war pig-skin) ?

Any feedback is appreciated !

Liner definitely looks post war imo. Green felt looks ok though?

I know that most Czechoslovak reissues were relined with 4 tongue liner and majority had larger rivets.

Liner looks to be pigskin and the size in a circle is correct also.
I wouldn't right it off just yet.

Also the marks where the shields were make me wonder regarding the paint.

Looks good to me Meyle I would go with the Cezh fire department looks like some I have seen that one is a nicer not so much messed with. timothy

Got the helmet but it is missing one split pin. Anybody has an extra one for sale ?

Decided to restore the helmet and ended up with this...

Note: all original except the chinstrap and paint :-)
