    Anyone any thoughts on what this unit stamp might be. It is a chinstrap from a DD M35 lufty.......

    Looks like the maker mark and a date.

    Thanks Frank..... there is no maker where it usually is at the tongue end. This one is right by the bale end. Makes sense i suppose....thank you

    We see them occasionally in the middle. I think I have seen them like this as well , but it is less common if not rare to see. The early rollerbuckle straps are also maker and data stamped near the D ring. Too bad we can’t read the maker.
