Need help for M40 Identification

Have bought this helmet with some old radio receivers from a sick old man in my neighborhood.

He has two garages full of old collectibles. He is a immigrant from Finland, it was not his own helmet but he has it since 50 years.



Have found some similar pictures in google but it would be nice if someone had some more informations for me.
