Hello gents,Christmas came early for me this year!
The helmet has a bit of a back ground,it comes from Hungary and was found in an attic.
It is a nice battle worn M42 ET66 lot number 2555.
There are some writings on the liner, first one is possibly a date 24.4.45 or it could be 34.4.45(I'm not sure). And the second are initials, maybe an M or it could be a cyrillic АЛ!?
Unfortunately the chinstrap got damaged during the shipping and one of the pins is now missing...
Overall i'm super happy,i was looking for a ND m42 and ended up with this beauty.
With it i also finished my line of SD heer helmets.(M35 SE62,M40 EF64 and now M42 ET66).
I would like to get your opinions and thoughts on it.

Nice Helmet! I like the look of it, looks like it has definitly seen some action. Its a shame the chinstrap broke... how the hell was it shipped so that that could happen?
The date on the liner seems to be 26.4.45 and the letter an AM. (The A integrated in the M)
Overall a nice early christmas, congrats!

    Regards,

A nice battle used 42 by the looks of it and in a nice bite size too! I like it.

Definitely try to get an ND M42 when you can as I see a time when they will be quite rare due to the amount of helmets being messed with for camo or fake decal applications.
