opinion wanted on M42 et64

Hi guys,

What is your opinion on this helmet.
i was offered it, but its also up on ebay..

the seller claims its a all original piece, with original lining.
As i dont have a M42 yet, i am keen on getting one.

Do you think this is a honest piece..and what is an estimate on how much to pay for this item?

Not in love with that liner or chinstrap. ET64? Looks like it is marked ET68?

If I'm not mistaken Doug, that liner is trying to emulate the late war pigskin type, it maybe the photography, but it sure does look suspect, saying that It's nice to see an un-decaled helmet, as for value, if original and un-touched maybe as much as £350, but with an iffy liner and/or chinstrap, the price of a shell £70-90 JMO

The liner is definately not a good one, with artificial ageing and blood staining, which cannot be red over a 60 years, and must be just like a dark dots.

Shell looks ok but as the others said the liner is very suspect.
