It looks all original to me. It is possible that the liner is a wartime replacement as usually these pre-war DD's have an early liner with yellow pads and a different buckle style chinstrap. But this one is probably one of the last DD's considering the fairly high lot number (1939 manufacture) so it is possible it was issued this way. Note that there are some tool marks and bends on the aluminum liner band which suggests some tampering there. Does it still have double nuts on the spanner bolts? The LW eagle decal is heavily worn as well which affects the value a little bit.
Overall, I think a dealer would ask somewhere around $20,000 for a helmet like this.
Cheers,
Terry

Was looking at it this morning but just getting around to posting
The shell looks all good like Terry notes. Will certainly defer to him on the status of the liner.
That said, a nice rare helmet

Good evening! Thank you for the information about my helmet. I'm glad that there are still people in this world who will help and advise. I appreciate it and thank you. Maybe it would be good to find a captive buyer. thanks Josef

I would like a front on shot to see if the dip is there in the rim before committing myself to saying it's genuine.
Cheers,
Steve
