    Default A REAL(!) TeNo Helmet

Another one from Al B. but this one I picked up decades ago. A Czech M34 first used by the Yugoslavs, then later reissued by the Germans to a TENO unit. It retains the original Yugoslavian smooth green paint and chinstrap. The liner has a Yugoslav property stamp and there is an ink stamp, the meaning of which is unknown to me. When it was reissued the Germans left it essentially untouched, with the exception of the placement of the distinct round and rarely encountered TeNo decals. One of the rarer capture/reissue helmets that you will encounter. There is a nice example of this style helmet in Littlejohn’s Defending the Reich. Anyway, hope you like it. Jim G.

I often wonder how many of these were put on back-to-front by the wearer ......

    My guess, a lot
My Luftschutz vz.32.34 has the decal on the "rear" of the helmet, too.
Cool helmet by the way, Jim
