Single Decal Heer M42, ckl64, Lot #2524

Hi guys,

I picked this up today. The lot number isn't too far off from the single decal Luftwaffe M42 I picked up last year, which was #2823. The decal is in great shape as well as the liner. No chinstrap, but I can make out the remnants of a faint dome stamp. As Ken Niewiarowicz says, the SD Heer is the "quintessential German helmet". Now I just have to figure out where I should put it on the shelf- next to the SD Luftwaffe M42 or the SD Heer M40?

Hi, a very clean and tidy M42 HEER helmet Mo, well done, I think it will look great wherever you put it, but I would place it next to your other M42. Leon.

My wall looks like this right now except for the M40 with the bread bag strap, which was replaced with a plain M42. So I can either put it next to the Luftwaffe M42 or the Heer M40... hmmmm
