Default Single Decal M40 Heer helmet

Just here to show my latest helmet aquisition a nice size 58, M 40 single decal. The shell is stamped SE66 for the maker Sächsische Emailler und Stanzwerke A.G./ Lauter. The chinstrap is also marked but is very very hard to read. There are a few initials penned on the inside

I will send better pics when I receive the lid.

    Best, Jan

Nice solid lid Jan. I've also purchased helmets from John at Eagle Relics - easy to deal with

I will add, I do like that dark color of the pigskin liner. Pigskin came out around '41.

You mention it is sized 58. Did you mean 68? Also what is the lot #? (I think it is a 3 digit number but I can't read it)

I will need to get back to the size and lot number when I have the helmet in hand. Thanks for the information on the pigskin liner

    Thank You friends,

I have learned (and probably also earned) a lot by beeing an active member here over the years. Without this forum, my interest in the rare original materiality of the Second World War would probably have come to nothing.

Above all beeing part of this group has helped me in my scientific research, building exhibitions and informing the general public about the historical value of these controversial artefacts.

I thank You all who have helped me over the years.

    Bast, Jan
