Hi Frank, yes, a friend of mine has a green M34 DD SS. Al Barrows and Kelly Hicks both have seen it and Kelly had it as a consignment piece for a while as my buddy has been liquidating his massive collection. it is good. Depending on my finances I just might grab it at some point if it is still available. Jim G.

    I agree !
But I don't think it's an old repro because on this only view, rune shield respect a lot CA Porcher decal specs... In old time, no one respects which decal must be on which helmet.
But in this state, difficult to judge.
It can be a modern repro, but why destroy it ?!

We can observe already two maker of this kind of helmet : EDELSTAHL, Thale helm (one is one sale on WAF at this time) and why not this one ? I can't see the ink mark unfortunatly...

Early SS used many types of helmets however I have not seen any photos of the salt shaker vent helmets in use so it is a element of which not much documentation exists. Also many of these SS would get a different life as civil service helmets or other.
They key here being the decal , one could try to make some USB close ups. There exist very good Pocher fakes and they are put on every kind of shell.
The helmet itself is not rare, it is commonly used by the civil services.
