    Hello,
Recently managed to win in auction this particular helmet. Manufactured by NS, shell size 62, Lot. Nr. D(1) ? 55. The helmet has zinc coated steel liner (made in 1940) outer and inner band, which is attached with steel leaf springs coated with grey paint, all the rivetts except the ones to attach the leather are made from steel. Split pins that attach liner band to the shell are also made from steel. Seems that the helmet had a Wehrmacht? decal on the left side, which was covered with 2nd layer of paint.

Thank You, i guess in that case this will be appropriate helmet to complete a 1944./45. impression of a Wehrmacht soldier that fought in Kurland pocket.

Will be perfect for a Kurland display. Congratulations

I know, but at the moment helmets in better condition are out of my budget. Most of the collectibles i own are either in relic- most of which i had found or "salty" condition. Thank You.
