The information came from notes that I jotted down in one of my files a long time ago. As to the original source, I honestly don't remember. I'm not a helmet collector, but I noticed the lack of a thread that offers basic information regarding the maker's marks, so I thought it might be a good idea to start one, in the hope that other more learned collectors may be able to add and certainly expand the information here, as the thread progresses.

Good idea to have for new collectors. Would be good to quote research sources as applicable. Can be cleaned up and pinned for new members which I did.

Found it.
The Online Guide to World War II German Helmets
Perhaps a gallery of the maker marks would be a good addition Doug?

Yes, good idea, I can't post anything right now with pictures as I'm restricted to an iPad right now.

Re: Stalhelm maker marks and sizes
Shell sizes 70 to the known 74 are custom order, correct? I was under the impression that 70's were not regularly produced.
