I have cleaned helmets 300 precisely, maybe more. I didn't consider.
Always from oxalic acid only positive result.

    Great transformation

The master of fakes was not competent and was mistaken
Hi Artem, as you rightly say the faker was incompetent, as to mark a helmet with so much information would be against any common sense. Such details would impart too much information to the enemy. Great work on your helmet restorations too. I might add.

Superb thread, just amazing how the helmets are incredibly transformed to its original state. I am waiting to receive this M38 helmet and I will definetely use this technique. Do you believe, out of your experience, that I could get a good result on my helmet?

Your rust looks too heavy for oxalic to achieve much IMO.

Once I receive the helmet I ll take good pictures and post it, nevertheless this is the thread that I entered some weeks back and where I was introduced by some other members about this oxalic technique. Have nothing to lose though, oxalic will definetely get rid of some rust, agree that it will be very difficult all of it
