Thoughts about this DD M42 Helmet?

So I came across this helmet and would like the dedicated people on this forum to have a look at it, could it be an original item or just another shit reproduction? seller has provided me with bad photos so I have to apologize for that but we gotta work with what we got.

Seller claims the helmet is numbered and has the maker mark on it, but the only such detail I can make out is the inspection stamp as seen in the picture, if my eyes also don't fail me it would look like it includes the text H 1940, which would make it an early model if I'm correct? Also would love to hear more about the camo on it, seeing as it seems to be an winter camo imo.

Shell is original. But that is it.

If you look closely at the dome stamp you can clearly see the paint over the pitting.

Decals are bad add to the fact is shouldn't be a DD. And a poor attempt to add camo and a wire.

Also, why would a helmet that is a 1942 model, have a stamp with a date of 1940?

Possibly. I went off the fact that there appears to be some real pitting on the inside dome.
